Mental Health and Well-being Program

South East Volunteers have received a grant from South East Melbourne Partners in Recovery (SEMPIR) to commence a “Mental Health and Well-being Program”, which aims to support participants with severe and persistent mental illness and complex needs into suitable volunteer work.

 Free mental health awareness training will be offered to all Community Service Organisations that work with volunteers within the City of Greater Dandenong, City of Casey and Cardinia Shire. 

 The training sessions can be tailored to suit the needs of organisations and will cover topics such as:

  • mental health diagnoses
  • identifying signs and symptoms
  • reducing stigma
  • fostering a supportive work environment

Free workshops have been developed as part of the SEMPIR program which are available to Managers of Volunteers and Volunteers within City of Greater Dandenong, City of Casey and Cardinia shire, please find relevant calendars available for download below:
