Transport

South East Volunteers provides needs based, quality and appropriate transport and support services for frail elderly people, and younger people who have a disability, and their carers residing in the City of Monash.

Volunteer drivers provide assistance with transport to services such as physio, podiatry, rehabilitation, day centre activities and other social support activities within the community.

“All the staff and volunteers at SEV need to understand how important the things they do are.  Transport and the social groups keep me well, gets me out of the house and reassures my family that I am okay and doing things.  It all means I get to stay in the home my husband built for us and I can be as independent as I can.” – Violet

“The two years I have used your transport have made my life so much easier.” – L.B.

With 48 hours notice, a driver will pick you up and return you home, and if necessary, will wait with you while you attend your appointment.

South East Volunteers is a not-for-profit community organisation and monies from consumers contribute to the cost of transport.

However, we will not refuse to provide a service to consumers facing financial difficulties, so if you would like to discuss the contribution please contact the Transport Co-ordinator.
