Volunteer Management Activity
South East Volunteers is the appointed consortia lead for the Southern Metro Region. Through volunteering South East Volunteers extends an invitation for our first nations persons, people with disability, new migrants, and youth to engage with us, and work together in the volunteering space.
The Volunteer Management Activity (VMA) 2022-26 program involves:
• Breaking down barriers to volunteering for the priority groups – First Nations People, People with a Disability and Newly arrived Migrants, Youth, Vulnerable Women and Unemployed
• Online services to build the capacity of Volunteer Involving Organisations.
We believe in working together through the VMA to strengthen the volunteer sector and create partnerships, share resources, support, and information to maximise the impact and sustainability of volunteering
The VMA aims to increase opportunities for people to participate in the social and economic life of their broader community through volunteering, by:
• Building effective volunteering practices and opportunities within organisations and communities
• Increasing the diversity of volunteers
• Improving access to information on volunteering
• Providing access to the training, resources and support volunteers and Volunteer Involving Organisations (VIOs) need.
