*If Melbourne goes back into lockdown, please, scroll down to *Restrictions during Lockdown

While restrictions are relaxed in Victoria, our services are as follows:

Transport is available for registered clients to all eligible services, not just to essential medical appointments. Face masks must be worn by all in vehicles and disinfection of touch points by drivers in vehicles in between clients still continues, with disinfection of all shared items and spraying out of vehicles at the end of each day. We are currently registering new clients.

*During lockdowns, transport is limited to essential medical appointments only.

Social Activities have recommenced but are limited by venue capacity and bus capacity. Face masks must be worn by all in vehicles and disinfection of touch points by drivers in vehicles continues, with disinfection of all shared items and spraying out of vehicles at the end of each day. Clients registered for Social Support activities will be invited if they fit into capacity limits. Online events are now also available to a wider number of clients. We are currently registering new clients.

*During lockdowns, group social activities are unable to run but our Social Coordinator may be in contact by phone and may run online activities where practical.

The Monash Community Safety Register has continued to run right throughout lockdowns, keeping in phone contact to ensure older people are not forgotten when in home isolation. Our trained volunteer callers are now back.

*During lockdowns, calls are made by staff instead in order to keep our volunteers safe and we will deliver essential groceries and pharmaceutical prescriptions to clients in isolation. We are also there if you feel alone and need help finding services, or just need to talk.

Volunteer Services are currently offered online, by phone, or in person. Some face to face training is being reintroduced in lower numbers. We are now able to fully process volunteer applications again and recruit for organisations. Volunteer applications are very welcome.

*South East Volunteers continued to run essential services right throughout Stage 4 Restrictions, with a strict COVID Safe Plan with extensive disinfection procedures and strict control of office staff capacity and distancing. We operated with heavily reduced numbers of staff and volunteers in order to keep everyone safe.
